about

Born in London 1954, knowing nothing…. Sang in church choir from about 7 or 8 years old. Piano lessons from age 13. Studied classical music at London College of Music, gained a diploma, then dropped out during 3rd year. Travelled overland to India. Discovered Buddhism and Jazz. Ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order in 1985 on a three-month retreat. 1989 – 2020: taught piano, wrote music, taught at Norwich Buddhist Centre.

I no longer teach piano, but still play and write music, and teach Buddhism and meditation. Still living in Norwich, knowing no-thing. I live with my wife Vajraguptā, Tashi the parrot, Fuji the cat, a baby grand piano and two keyboards.
